Skeleton King: Teaser and behind the scenes showcase

Hey everyone!

Now we are getting closer to the release of the music video "Skeleton King" (6th of september) and I have some behind the scenes content for you I wanted to share. Even a teaser is included in this post, so I hope you enjoy this content update.
It was a hard road, but nonetheless I had a lot of fun and frustration. However, I learned a lot from it and I would do it all over again ;).

A little teaser for the upcoming MV

Turntable animation of the character

~ The content overload is Unreal, pun intended
I realized too late that putting too much stuff into a level just isn't good content management. I learned it the hard way and I won't do it again.

~ All hail the blood moon. Bow before it's glorious appearence...
Building the environment was time consuming, not because of the assets I had to create, but to get the right "atmosphere" or "feel". I finally got it to the point, how I wanted it to look.

~ Go with the flow, just remember getting your protective gear on. Trust me, swimming there is heart-warming
This is actually not a shot of the sequencer. This is a runtime/playmode record and it was a nightmare to tweak. I will never do that again ;).

~ Walking is for beginners, running for veterans and sliding for experts
The sliding part was really fun to make and not as time consuming, as I would have thought. I learned a lot about action and conveying that through camera perspectives.

~ London bridge is falling do-... Nope. But the skeleton king is in fact.
I loved that section, since the skeleton king is falling through the sky towards the skeleton mages. To make the camera motions was really satisfying.

~ The abyss is deep, very deep. The skeleton king continues to descend...
The second part of the falling down part. I would have made it longer here, but I needed to cut at this point, since I had trouble getting the runtime part to match.

~ Look deep into my eyes... if I would have any.
I called the Sequence "FreezeFrame", since that was basicly the defining part of the sequence. I would freeze the "scene", after an explosion happens, where the camera pans around. It was cool to make.

~ Avatar vs. army of skeletons... Good luck guys ;).
This scene was actually really nice. I turned out really well and since I'm such a donghua fan, I just wanted a badass, big Avatar. Also it just fit into the role of the skeleton king.

~ "Fireball, Fireball on the wall, who is the deadliest of them all?
Super fun to make the effects. Especially layering them produced sometimes happy accidents ;).

~ Fire at will... And the skeleton is DEFINITELY willing.
Basicly the climax scene for the fireball against the attack from the avatar of the skeleton king. It was very fun to make and is definitely eye catching.

~ Fire away, skeleton king...
Making the climax was very satisfying. I like how the effects, the camera movement and the back and forth turned out.
